Article on 2009-06-12: A BLIND rights crusader has lost his battle against a taxi driver who allegedly refused to transport his guide dog - a ruling he says "makes it okay to discriminate".

The Equal Opportunity Tribunal today found Anil Katyal had not discriminated against Peter Ellson and his dog, Faith, at Adelaide Airport in March 2007.

They ruled the Yellow Cabs driver had made an "honest mistake".

In his evidence, Mr Katyal said he believed he was being asked to transport "a group including a dog and luggage" that would not fit in his cab.
